It is here, in the interior of Portugal, that the awarded (and so very wonderful) Dão wines are born, as a fruit of labour, love and knowledge of our people. Dão wines are noble, elegant and able to elevate any gastronomic journey.

Grown in schist or granite soils, Dão wines are protected from the winds coming from the Atlantic by our northern mountains - Estrela, Caramulo, Montemuro and Buçaco, giving rise to some of the best wines in Portugal (if you ask us, the best!).

​

There are several grape varieties. If you prefer red, you can try Alfrocheiro, Jean, Tinta-Roriz or our renowned Touriga Nacional. If you prefer white, you cannot miss our queen, the Encruzado. 

​
